2010 US team trails. Info

The contest is looking good here is some info just to keep everyone informed.

We will have a grass landing strip for the guys with retracts who want to land wheels up. It is a large area and will be mowed as short as possible for you.

There are at least 5 NON-US guys who want to compete. Because of this we will be running 2 plane heats for them when we can. 3 of the 5 are from Gutamala so we can't have them race each other.

The US will be running one plane heats and the 2 min. ready box time limit will be enforced!

Also it was asked if it was ok for a non-US entry to not have to use the silencers on his set-up and since they are not flying for trophies and not for a spot on the US team we will allow this but ONLY FOR NON-US entries.

Here is the list of entries so far. This is just by word of mouth and does not mean you are paid up.

1. Gary Freeman Jr.
2. Randy Bridge
3. Travis Flynn
4. Richard Verano
5. Robert Holik
6. Fred Burgdorf
7. Gino Del Ponte
8. Lee VonDerHey
9. Ray Brown

5 NON-US pilots

If you are NOT on this list and plan on coming please let me know ASAP.

The flyer says we will be following ALL CURRENT FAI RULES. So yes we will be flying in the circle.

I will explain the 2:00 min ready box at the pilots meeting. But the short version is you have 2 min to be ready to go once you name is called for next on the line. In others words there will be no waiting for people to go to the line.

Ready box one will be on the start line so the next pilot to fly will be ready to go as soon as the pilot in front of him is landing. We will try and do the matrix so it works for the guys who are teamed up.

If for some reason we are moving faster then expected we will take a small break in between rounds, but I don't think this will happen with there being 3 heats of NON-US pilots in between our rounds.

Here is the hotel info. I know the race flyer shows some other, but this hotel is the best bet.

The Super 8 next to the field is kind of a DUMP. Ok it is a DUMP. They also hooked us up with a great deal.

Anyone coming to race or watch this is the place to stay.
