UPDATE!! SPRA SUMMER SHOOTOUT RACE CLUB 40 AND Q25 READ!!

OK Guys, here’s an update for the Summer Shoot Out Club 40 and Quickie 25 race at the Old Julian Airport Field June 19th. Sign up will start at 8:00AM with the racing starting at 9:30AM Club 40 will be first, then lunch and Quickie 25 after lunch.

We had some good practice Saturday before the rains came and it has come to my attention that several of the Club 40 participants prefer different size props than the schedules 9x6 which was posted. With this in mind and trying to be more compliant with the RC Pro rules we will now allow any Currently Commercial Available Prop in the Club 40 race. Again no modifications except to one side for balancing purposes.

NEW UPDATE!!!!! In order to ensure we have amply people to work the course during the race we will be GIVEN AWAY FREE 2 (TWO) World Models Sky Raider MKII ARF KITS. Every person who works the course during the race will have their name put in a pot and the drawing will be at the end of the race during the awards ceremony. You will need to have worked at least 2 rounds combined in any class to qualify!!

We will also have a demonstration of the new Eflite LR-1A Pogo from Horizon Hobby by Robert Vess and Larry Lewis. Possibly a candidate for those electric guys who want to pylon race. Set it up for pylon racing, the potent combination of E-flite's new Power 25 1250Kv brushless motor, 60A brushless ESC and a high-C 4S Li-Po pack can have you turning laps at speeds in excess of 110 mph!

Finally to wet your appetites here is a picture of the awards plaques just received for the AMA. They look great and will be a quality addition to someone’s trophy wall!!!!!
